Today I’m back with a Tatcha skincare review! After 30 days on Drunk Elephant and the disaster that those products left my skin, (you can read all about it in my 30 Days on Drunk Elephant: Drunk Elephant Review) I wanted to try products that would hydrate my skin and restore it to it’s former state.
I’ve had previous positive experiences with Tatcha products and I thought 30 Days on Tatcha would do my skin good. I found a Tatcha skincare set at my local Sephora. The set contained; The Water Cream, Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, The Rice Polish, and Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. I also purchased Tatcha’s Silk Canvas. You can find my Tatcha skincare review below.
The Water Cream: This was the very first Tatcha product I ever tried and the product that brought me back to the brand. The Water Cream has a light fresh fragrance and hydrates your skin without leaving you too oily. I feel like 30 days on Water Cream revitalized my skin and restored the moisture I was lacking. If you’re looking for one Tatcha product to try The Water Cream is it.
Luminous Dewy Skin Mist: I’ve never used a face mist before and was intrigued by this product. The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is light and gives your skin a dewy look with just a few pumps. The Mist and the Water Cream together may be a little too much moisture for some. But both products together made for a perfect night routine.
The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist can be used as a makeup setting spray. I used it once as a setting spray when my husband told me my skin looked “dry.” (He meant “too matte” but, I let him live). After using the mist my face looked less matte. But, I don’t think it pulled my face together the way most setting sprays do. So overall my verdict is great for you face, best at night, and not so great on top of your makeup.
Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil: I’m not a huge fan of serums to remove makeup, and this product didn’t sway me. I typically use wipes to remove my makeup and follow up with a face wash. Using a serum followed by a face wash when I have a full face of make up on doesn’t make me feel as clean. So, I use it on days when the only makeup I have on is brows and it seems to do it’s job.
The Rice Polish: I kind of love this stuff. I’ve never used a foaming enzyme powder before (or ever knew that was a thing) but, The Rice Polish did not disappoint. The Rice Polish is a fragrance free rice bran that when activated with water turns into a foam. I used a quarter size amount on my face and neck every morning for 30 days. By day 30 and did notice a smoother finish to my face. What I love most about this product is there’s one for every skin type. Tatcha has created a Rice Polish for normal to dry, normal to oily, dry, and sensitive skin (you can find them all here). If you’re on the hunt for a new way to wash and polish your face I highly recommend this one.
The Silk Canvas: This product didn’t come in the set I purchased. However, I heard good things about the Silk Canvas and wanted to try it myself. I love love love the silk canvas. I have large pores and am always on the hunt for products that will minimize them. The Silk Canvas minimizes the look of my pores, makes my skin silky smooth, and doesn’t leave a white cast.
All in all, I pretty much recommend every Tatcha product in my Tatcha skincare review. Their products are beautiful, innovate and do exactly what they say they’re going to do. Also, I love that has committed to using all natural ingredients so their products are great for a clean skincare routine. As an aside I will note that Tatcha has all of their products in travel sizes on their website. If you’re looking to try Tatcha products without breaking the bank, make sure you check out one of their sets like; the Skincare for Makeup Lovers Set or the Ritual for Radiance Set.
If you’ve never tried Tatcha before let me know if there’s anything you’d like to try. And, If you’ve tried Tacha products, let me know which products you’re loving!
